Be Careful of What You Share

So you just graduated with that new fancy degree and you are excited to begin the hiring process at the work place of your dream, but wait – no call backs, no interviews, not even asked the time of day? Maybe you shouldn’t have posted that album about your graduation party hopping called “The end of fun as we know it”. Did you know that 52% of recruiters (the ones looking to hire you) will see that? That’s more than half of your potential job offers gone after one post. Your best friend (and possibly enemy) is LinkedIn, 92% of recruiters use that at a source and if it’s full of misspellings, or worse just plain empty, you may want to change that.  Social media is becoming a big part of our lives and employers will use that to see yours.
